Custom Fitted Orthotics

Be sure to drink your water. When exercising in the summer heat, the athlete can lose over one ounce of water per minute but can only absorb one-third of an ounce of fluid per minute. Thus, it doesn't take long to become dehydrated. Dehydration can cause muscle cramping, fatigue and even heatstroke. Here's a summer tip: the day before an event, prepare your body by loading up on fluids (as much as 64-100 ounces more than usual is recommended). Then, two hours before activity, take about 32 ounces of fluid, and during activity, drink 4-6 ounces each 30 minutes during activity. This should prevent dehydration.
