A 2003 study in the prestigious medical journal Spine concluded that for chronic spinal pain, chiropractic adjustments provided the best overall results for pain relief. The study compared chiropractic adjustments versus acupunture treatments and pain management with medications (Celebrex and Vioxx) and found that the group receiving chiropractic adjustments experienced 47% improvement compared to only 15% for the acupuncture group and 18% for the medication group.
